LoL 26.15 Cuts Locke’s Early-Lane Power

League of Legends Patch 26.15 lowers Locke’s base health, Q damage, W speed scaling and grey-health values to create more counterplay during early lanes.

Riot targeted Locke’s lane safety and early trading in League of Legends Patch 26.15. The changes lower his starting durability, trim the base damage on each Q nail and reduce the reliability of W before substantial ability-power investment.

What changed

Locke’s base health fell from 655 to 620. Each Q nail lost 10 base damage at every rank, moving from 50–82 to 40–72 while keeping its 20% AP ratio. W’s movement speed became a flat 40% plus its AP scaling instead of rising to 60% with rank. W grey health also lost base value and scaling, ending at 120 plus 100% AP rather than 160 plus 120% AP.

Why it matters

The package creates several small windows rather than deleting one ability. Lower health makes failed trades more costly, reduced Q damage weakens repeatable lane pressure, and the W changes make early disengages less forgiving. AP purchases still restore part of the champion’s strength, so the intended distinction is clearer weakness before the build matures.

What players should watch

Opponents should test the new health breakpoints instead of assuming Locke remains untouchable after a short trade. Locke players need cleaner Q accuracy and more deliberate W timing, especially when the speed burst is the only escape. If his late build remains functional, the patch will have shifted power without erasing his identity.

The practical test begins in live matches. Players should read the current client notes before queueing, separate confirmed values from community predictions and expect later balance updates to respond to real match data.
