Zodiac Mountain launches Yin and Yang deckbuilding
Zodiac Mountain launches Yin and Yang deckbuilding. The roguelike follows a young panda through Chinese folklore with dual hands, a visible turn queue…
Zodiac Mountain launched on Steam on August 21 as a roguelike deckbuilder about a young panda climbing toward the title of Chinese Zodiac. Mystic Road divides combat cards between Yin and Yang hands, then asks players to combine techniques across both sides while reading enemy actions in a visible turn queue.
Zodiac Mountain: confirmed launch details
Cards, upgrades and relics create build-defining interactions across procedurally generated routes. The climb includes enemies and Zodiac bosses inspired by Chinese mythology, while traditional ink painting and watercolor influence the hand-drawn presentation. Branching encounters ensure that one successful deck cannot follow an identical path every run.
What the design asks from players
Two hands expand the planning space without hiding incoming threats. A card that appears modest alone may become the correct setup for the opposite hand, while the turn queue shows exactly when defense must interrupt a combo. Relics then push a run toward particular synergies instead of rewarding every card equally.
Platform and release context
Mystic Road developed Zodiac Mountain and Phoenix Game publishes it on Steam. The official page confirms the August 21 release and single-player structure. As with any new deckbuilder, early tier lists should remain provisional until players understand encounter pools, upgrade odds and the hardest bosses.
The feature list reflects the developer’s official Steam information available on August 21, 2026. Post-launch patches can change balance, compatibility or content, so the live store page and current build remain the final references.
