The Last Portal launched on Steam on August 21 as a fantasy tower-defense campaign with 150 increasingly dangerous waves. PT Studios asks players to protect the final surviving portal by placing Archers, Knights, Mages and Tanks across a battlefield that expands into six zones over time.

The Last Portal: confirmed launch details

Individual units can improve damage, attack speed, range, targeting behavior, status effects and unique abilities. Fire, poison, bleed, slow, armor and shields create interactions beyond raw damage. Every unlocked zone adds space to defend, another section of enemy path and additional active portals that increase pressure.

What the design asks from players

Expansion is both progress and punishment. A larger field offers more placement choices but stretches the army across longer routes and more entrances. Target priorities become important when armored enemies, shields and bosses share a wave, because a powerful unit can waste its output if it repeatedly selects the wrong threat.

Platform and release context

The Last Portal is a Windows single-player release with saving, loading and adjustable game speed. Steam presents Wave 150 as the campaign’s final victory rather than an endless-mode checkpoint. The listing does not mark the game as Early Access, so all six zones and the complete wave sequence are launch features.

The feature list reflects the developer’s official Steam information available on August 21, 2026. Post-launch patches can change balance, compatibility or content, so the live store page and current build remain the final references.
