Cybersquare Madness launched on Steam on August 23 as a cyberpunk tower-defense game about stopping a robot overlord during a global arena tournament. Solo developer Hugo Norlin lets players place square towers, change their locations and even move them directly into enemies when a static formation stops working.

Cybersquare Madness: confirmed launch details

New squares unlock as the campaign advances, and tower choices can synergize with the selected commander. Boss encounters interrupt ordinary waves with harder mechanical checks. An endless mode remains available after players understand the core loadouts, creating a longer score target beyond individual stages.

What the design asks from players

Relocation makes placement less permanent than in traditional tower defense, but moving a square at the wrong moment can still open a lane. Commander synergy encourages a coherent loadout rather than selecting every individually strong tower. Bosses then test whether that build can answer concentrated threats instead of only crowds.

Platform and release context

Cybersquare Madness is a Windows single-player release and is not marked Early Access. The official page emphasizes strategic diversity but does not publish a fixed tower count. Players should judge variety through the live unlock tree rather than assuming every square represents a separate tower family.

The feature list reflects the developer’s official Steam information published for the August 23, 2026 release. Post-launch patches can change balance, compatibility or content, so the live store page and current build remain the final references.
