VALORANT 13.00 Adds an Inbox and Adjusts Ranked RR
VALORANT Patch 13.00 adds a client Inbox for important notices and adjusts Ranked Rating calculations to better reward consistent winning performance.
VALORANT Patch 13.00 made two less cinematic changes that affect regular players every session: a new client Inbox and revised Ranked Rating calculations. Riot framed both as clarity improvements rather than a reset of the competitive system.
What changed
The Inbox gathers notices for gifting, Premier, RR refunds, report feedback and Act introductions in one client location. Riot also adjusted RR calculations to reduce cases where a player who wins consistently remains stuck despite a positive record. The developer specifically asked for feedback from Immortal-level players and above, where small rating movements are especially visible.
Why it matters
A central Inbox reduces the chance that an important competitive or account message disappears behind a transient pop-up. The RR change matters because perceived progress has to match sustained results closely enough to feel credible. It does not guarantee identical gains for every win: rank, MMR, performance and opponent strength still shape the system.
What players should watch
Players should compare trends over a meaningful block of matches instead of judging the revision from one result screen. The most useful evidence is whether a sustained positive win rate now produces clearer upward movement. Inbox notices should also be read before queueing, particularly when they concern Premier schedules or a restored rating loss.
The practical test begins in live matches. Players should read the current client notes before queueing, separate confirmed values from community predictions and expect later balance updates to respond to real match data.
