Dota 2 Patch 7.41e arrived on July 31 alongside the 2026 Summer Scrub, making it the current gameplay balance version before The International 2026. The release combines targeted item and hero changes with bug fixes, interface improvements and a major adjustment to Immortal-rank MMR.

The timing matters because TI begins on August 13. Teams now have less than two weeks to separate reliable 7.41e practice from evidence collected on the previous patch.

Dota 2 Patch 7.41e adjusts items and late-game scaling

Orb of Corrosion’s health-restoration reduction increases from 16% to 18%, while Orb of Venom’s damage per second rises from 10 to 12. The two changes strengthen early pressure without turning either item into an automatic purchase for every melee core.

Valve’s official 7.41e patch page also prevents spell amplification from multiple Divine Rapiers from stacking. That closes a narrow but extreme late-game interaction and changes the ceiling of spell-focused Rapier builds.

Hero changes include another pass on Zeus and smaller adjustments across several roles. The safest competitive reading is not to declare a solved tier list after a few days. Teams need current scrims and official matches before separating a temporary experiment from a stable draft priority.

The Summer Scrub changes systems around the matches

The official Summer Scrub announcement accompanies the balance update with quality-of-life work and bug fixes. Immortal players also had their MMR redistributed so every account sat between 1 and 9,500 MMR when the adjustment occurred. That was a redistribution, not a permanent rating cap.

For professional preparation, the most important consequence is version control. Draft notes, matchup win rates and replay labels should record whether the match used 7.41d or 7.41e. Mixing the two can make a hero look stronger or weaker for reasons that no longer exist.

Our Dota 2 Roshan control guide remains useful because it focuses on information rather than one patch number. The smoke timing framework provides the same kind of stable structure for converting a new power spike into map control.
