OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Game & Movie Store Simulator launched on Steam on August 23 as an entertainment retail management game. CRIXALINA starts players with a small shop and lets them stock fictional VHS tapes, DVDs, cartridges, discs, consoles and collectibles inspired by several eras of games and cinema.
OPEN FOR BUSINESS: confirmed launch details
Store construction includes shelves, checkout counters, posters and large display statues. Progress unlocks licenses for new products and raises the store level. Players can handle operations themselves or hire employees as the floor expands. Every product belongs to an original alternative entertainment universe.
What the design asks from players
Nostalgia supplies the theme, but shelf space and customer flow create the management problem. A dramatic statue may strengthen the shop’s identity while consuming room that could hold inventory. Hiring can free the owner for expansion, although wages must be justified by the additional sales and tasks an employee handles.
Platform and release context
OPEN FOR BUSINESS is a Windows single-player release and is not labeled Early Access. Its products evoke familiar media eras without using official third-party franchises. The current Steam page defines the launch systems, while exact licenses, prices and employee efficiency may change with patches.
The feature list reflects the developer’s official Steam information published for the August 23, 2026 release. Post-launch patches can change balance, compatibility or content, so the live store page and current build remain the final references.
