Sea of Thieves 3.8.2 makes the Seas of Sailor’s Grave available as a Legendary Location in Custom Seas. Hosts can build activities inside the Last Ship Standing battleground while the Devil’s Shroud keeps crews within the play space, although some world events, creatures and island-specific systems are unavailable there.

New quick commands can hide a pirate, grant player or ship invulnerability and fully repair a vessel. Full commands can reset supplies, destroy nearby treasure and toggle ship protection. Hosts can spawn Cannon, Harpoon and Reaper’s Bones rowboats, with the active rowboat server limit raised to 24, and summon more skeleton variants and Tall Tale quest items.

What changes for players

The update gives event organizers and video creators safer ways to stage scenes without pausing for repairs or ordinary death loops. Weapon-damage switches and options to skip the Ferry of the Damned or downed state also support custom combat rules. These controls apply to private Custom Seas sessions rather than the shared Adventure economy.

Timing and wider context

Version 3.8.2 is part of Season 20 and includes bug fixes beyond the headline creation tools. Players should expect deliberately restricted progression and content inside custom sessions, because free spawning and invulnerability would otherwise undermine the main game’s risk and reward.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 20, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.

For Sea of Thieves, the practical checkpoint is the live client: confirm the installed version, platform notes and regional rollout before relying on a scheduled feature. Store availability, maintenance windows and certification can create timing differences even when the developer announces one date for the wider release.
