PEAK Patch 2.02.a is live with targeted balance changes and fixes for items, badges and traversal. The Jester achievement now requires placing two luggage pieces in the cannon instead of three, and a previous rope stamina change has been reverted.

PEAK Patch 2.02.a: confirmed details

Frog tongue distance falls from 22 to 18, its angle from 16 to 14 and its cooldown rises from 10 to 12 seconds. Pandora’s Lunchbox can now apply Curse and ignores invincibility. The Anti-Gravity effect lasts one minute, while the patch also addresses glider networking, behavior issues and a missing amulet-statue rock spawn.

What changes for players

The frog adjustments reduce how often one creature can disrupt a climb from generous angles. Reverting the rope stamina rule restores the earlier traversal expectation, while the lower Jester requirement makes a badge attempt less dependent on hauling an extra bulky object. Pandora’s Lunchbox is now riskier even in builds that previously leaned on invulnerability.

Timing and wider context

This is a small corrective patch rather than a new biome or expedition. The developer may continue tuning event items and wildlife after observing live runs. Players using mods should reproduce unexpected behavior in an unmodified session before assigning it to the official build.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 18, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.

He has a particular interest in RPG economies, tactical combat and performance problems that alter mechanical feel. Every verdict is written for a specific player rather than an imaginary universal audience.
