The PROJECT Ashe skin released in 2016 as a Legendary cosmetic. It translates the champion’s bow, scouting and crowd control into a cybernetic targeting fantasy, supported by a new model, voice treatment, animations and effects rather than one isolated color swap.
PROJECT Ashe skin: visual language
Cool blue light defines the bow and arrows, while dark armor and a hood preserve Ashe’s long silhouette. Holographic panels and drones extend the targeting idea beyond the weapon. Red opposing accents in the wider PROJECT universe keep the blue energy from blending into a generic science-fiction glow.
Animation and audio
Basic attacks produce compact energy trails, and Ranger’s Focus accelerates the same visual vocabulary instead of introducing unrelated shapes. Hawkshot becomes a surveillance device. Enchanted Crystal Arrow gains enough scale to communicate an ultimate while retaining a clear direction of travel.
Readability during play
The skin changes many assets but keeps each spell’s gameplay outline recognizable. Volley still fans from a single point, Hawkshot follows its long scouting path and the ultimate remains a large central projectile. Cosmetic preference may affect perceived smoothness, but mechanics and timing do not change.
Production context
PROJECT: Ashe belongs to Riot’s cybernetic alternate universe and positions Ashe as a resistance leader. Its 1820 RP Legendary tier at release reflected the extensive model, animation, voice and effect package. Current store access and promotions should be checked in the client.
Why the design lasts
The design connects theme to kit unusually well: a scout becomes surveillance, focus becomes targeting assistance and an ice arrow becomes an energy weapon. That structural fit lets PROJECT: Ashe remain distinct even after the skin line expanded to many champions.
