Kunitsu-Gami alternates daytime preparation with nighttime defense on Mt. Kafuku.

The Kunitsu-Gami launch began on July 18, 2024 on PC, with the global console rollout following regional storefront timing. Capcom’s single-player action-strategy game sends Soh and the maiden Yoshiro across the defiled Mt. Kafuku.

Kunitsu-Gami launch: confirmed details

During daylight, Soh purifies villagers, repairs structures and assigns combat roles before carving a path for Yoshiro. At night, the Seethe emerge from Torii gates and the player fights beside positioned villagers. Completing a stage requires protecting the maiden and eventually guiding her to purify the gate through a Kagura dance.

What changed for players

Real-time sword combat and tactical placement share the same resource: Soh cannot defend every route alone, while villagers must be repositioned as threats change. Masks unlock roles with different costs and functions. Rebuilding liberated settlements then supplies upgrades and rewards that affect later stages.

Availability and lasting context

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launched for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, including Game Pass availability. Storefront dates may show July 18 or July 19 by region. Later updates and collaborations expanded extras, but the day-and-night defense structure defined the original release.

This report separates features released on the stated date from later patches and community expectations. Balance values and platform support can change, but the documented release history remains the same.
