Saber Interactive launched Space Marine 2 patch 8.0 and its free Siege Mode on June 26, 2025. The three-player PvE activity asks a squad to survive escalating enemy waves inside an Imperial fortress on Kadaku.

Space Marine 2 Siege Mode: confirmed details

Siege alternates Tyranid and Chaos assaults while the team earns Requisition during a run. That currency purchases ammunition, medical supplies and reinforcements such as Cadian soldiers or a Dreadnought. The arena opens additional sectors as the squad advances, and the run continues until the team is overwhelmed.

What changed for players

The mode turns familiar Operations combat into endurance planning. Executions and class synergy still matter, but teams must also decide when to spend limited resources and where to make a stand. Moving to a new sector refreshes the spatial problem without erasing pressure accumulated across later waves.

Availability and lasting context

Siege Mode arrived free for base-game owners on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Patch 8 also included balance and quality-of-life changes that can be revised again. The activity is cooperative and does not replace the narrative campaign or the structured Operations missions.

This report separates features released on the stated date from later patches and community expectations. Balance values and platform support can change, but the documented release history remains the same.
