Zone Sweeper entered Steam Early Access on August 22 as a free-to-play RPG designed around short attempts. Players cross a grid of blue safe cells and red dangerous cells, choose where to accept risk and resolve each selected level through a single automated battle.
Zone Sweeper: confirmed launch features
Combat calculates critical hits, combos and extra actions from agility. Players distribute points across health, attack, defense, agility and luck or use an automatic balance. Eleven equipment slots, a persistent shop and bag survive between runs, while main bosses unlock skill points and new portals.
How the central mechanic works
The grid moves the meaningful choice ahead of combat. A red route may accelerate progress but demands a build capable of surviving its one decisive fight. Laboratory research continues in real time while the application is closed, giving failed or capped runs a persistent development track.
