The NBA 2K27 reveal now covers the game’s main systems and modes ahead of early access. Visual Concepts has published separate Courtside Reports for gameplay, The City, the MyPLAYER Builder, MyTEAM, MyNBA, MyCAREER and The W.

NBA 2K27 reveal: confirmed details

The NBA 2K HQ companion app launches August 21 with social features, the complete MyPLAYER Builder and daily rewards. Deluxe and Ultra Edition early access starts August 26 at 09:00 Pacific Time, up to nine days before the wider release depending on region. The announcement also lists returning-player and preorder offers.

What changes for players

Publishing the builder in a companion app lets players test archetype tradeoffs without occupying console or PC play time. Separate mode reports make it easier to judge one part of the annual release instead of treating a broad trailer as proof that every system changed equally.

Timing and wider context

Early access and loyalty discounts depend on edition, platform, region and account eligibility. The reveal summarizes features rather than reviewing their final execution. Players should consult the individual Courtside Reports for numerical builder and gameplay details.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 18, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.
