Darktide Hotfix 1.12.5 is rolling out on all platforms with four named crash fixes and a short list of gameplay and cosmetic repairs. Two crash cases involve players joining or leaving while specific talents or abilities are active.

Darktide Hotfix 1.12.5: confirmed details

Fatshark fixed crashes when a Zealot disconnects during Fury of the Faithful, when a Veteran hotjoins with Leave No One Behind and when a player dies while a Servo Skull is reviving them. Another rare crash is also listed. Steam Overlay invitations to a Strike Team work again, and newly created characters can opt out of the campaign.

What changes for players

Join and disconnect crashes punish an entire session for one player’s connection state, so these repairs improve group reliability. Restoring Steam Overlay invitations removes friction before a mission. The campaign opt-out fix matters for repeat characters whose players already understand the introductory structure.

Timing and wider context

The hotfix also corrects Chordclaw charge consumption and several clipping, color, reload and visual-effect issues. It is a maintenance build, so players should not expect a new mission or class from version 1.12.5.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 18, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.
