The Vallis Undermind adds Nokko and a fungal region beneath Orb Vallis.

Digital Extremes released Warframe: The Vallis Undermind on October 15, 2025. The update sends Tenno under Fortuna into the Deepmines, a fungal ecosystem threatened by Corpus extraction, and introduces Nokko as the game’s mushroom-themed Warframe.

Warframe The Vallis Undermind: confirmed details

Nightcap provides bounties in the Deepmines and rewards blueprints used to build Nokko. The Teacher is a short quest designed to explain Mods and awards the Thornbak rifle. The update also delivers a full Oberon ability rework, new weapons, TennoGen items and cosmetic collections. Access to the Deepmines requires completion of The New War.

What changes for players

The underground tileset adds a fresh visual and navigational identity to the familiar Venus hub. Nokko mixes viral effects, sleep, healing and energy support through fungal abilities, while Oberon’s redesign gives an older frame a clearer reason to return to squads. The Teacher addresses a long-standing onboarding problem without pretending that one quest explains every build system.

Availability and lasting context

The update launched on all supported platforms and received immediate hotfixes for Nokko, Deepmines bounties and geometry. Those fixes are part of the current experience, but the October 15 release remains the correct point for the new region, frame and quest. Players should read later patch notes before relying on launch numbers.

This report records the release state at publication. Later patches can alter balance, access or individual systems without changing the documented launch history. Announced features, paid additions and community expectations are kept separate from content that was actually released.
