Astralis beat NAVI 16–6 on Nuke and 16–9 on Overpass in London.

Astralis defeated Natus Vincere 2–0 on September 23, 2018 to win the FACEIT London Major. The Danes took Nuke 16–6 and Overpass 16–9, completing a playoff run in which their preparation repeatedly denied opponents comfortable openings.

Road to the final

Astralis advanced 3–0 through the New Legends Stage, then beat FaZe and Team Liquid without losing a playoff map. NAVI also entered the final unbeaten in the bracket after victories over BIG and MIBR. The matchup paired the most systematic team of the event with a lineup capable of changing rounds through s1mple and electronic.

Astralis vs NAVI FACEIT London 2018: series recap

NAVI opened Nuke with three rounds, but Astralis answered with eight in succession and controlled the rest of the map. On Overpass, NAVI found more resistance and reached nine rounds, yet Astralis maintained the stronger economy and site protocols. The final ended 2–0 without requiring Inferno.

The decisive pattern

Astralis made individual danger expensive. Grenade sequences cleared common positions, device controlled long sightlines and the team traded quickly when an entry fell. NAVI’s stars still produced isolated openings, but too few became multi-round economic pressure because Astralis protected weapons and converted advantages.

Why the result still matters

London was Astralis’ second Major and the first of three consecutive Major victories for the organization. The tournament helped define the roster’s era through repeatable utility, map preparation and trading rather than dependence on one player’s peak performance.

He has a particular interest in RPG economies, tactical combat and performance problems that alter mechanical feel. Every verdict is written for a specific player rather than an imaginary universal audience.
