VCT EMEA adds a broadcast-first stage for expanded schedules

The VCT EMEA Studio Stage gives Riot a second production space inside the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. It allows Valorant and LEC broadcasts to run simultaneously as Stage 2 adds Challengers teams, more match days and weekend play.

The expanded VCT EMEA season began July 15 on the new stage. One playoff week later moves to the ticketed Arena Stage before the competition finishes at its first road finals in Barcelona.

VCT EMEA Studio Stage prioritizes the broadcast

The new room is designed for production rather than a live crowd, so tickets are not sold for matches played there. Fans can still attend selected dates on the existing main stage, now called the Arena Stage.

That tradeoff creates more flexible viewing windows online. VCT EMEA can schedule weekend matches throughout Stage 2 while the LEC continues its own arena dates and Roadtrip weekends.

Riot also says the separate space permits more product-specific stage customization. Valorant and League broadcasts no longer need to turn over the same set between every overlapping show day.

Barcelona becomes the payoff for fewer studio tickets

The broadcast-first dates reduce the number of Berlin matches with public seating, but the setup supports investment in larger destination events. VCT EMEA’s Stage 2 Finals move to Barcelona, while the LEC visits Paris, Madrid and Nice.

Riot expects the two-stage Berlin setup to continue into 2027. Ticket buyers should confirm whether a chosen match is on the Studio Stage or Arena Stage before planning a visit.
