Organize an esports VOD library that coaches can search

Folders store video; a coaching library stores reasons to return to it.

Coach searching organized esports VOD clips on a dark media wall
A library should retrieve comparable decisions, not only store footage.

Create one record per clip with game, map, patch, teams, timestamp and a short description of the decision. Add three controlled labels: phase, situation and review status. Avoid free-form tags until the core vocabulary is stable.

Clip context before action

Start each segment early enough to show resources and information. A highlight beginning at the elimination cannot explain why the duel occurred.

Separate evidence from lesson

Store the observed event in one field and the coach interpretation in another. This lets future reviewers reuse the clip without inheriting an outdated conclusion.

Maintain the library

Archive material after major rules or map changes, merge duplicate labels and mark clips already used with the roster. Review the taxonomy monthly.

The test is retrieval: can a coach find three comparable examples of the next opponent’s setup in under two minutes? If not, more video will not solve the organization problem.
