CS2 anchor survival: a drill for delaying without disappearing

An anchor should leave the site only after creating a clearer retake.

Useful survival begins with information and a planned exit.

A site anchor has two competing responsibilities: slow the hit and remain useful after contact. Players often overcorrect toward a heroic stand or an early escape. This CS2 anchor survival drill measures success through information, delay and the quality of the resulting retake.

Stage one: call before fighting

Run ten entries with two attackers. The anchor must call enemy count, utility and intended fallback before taking the first duel. Award the repetition when the call is accurate, even if the anchor dies.

Stage two: spend one grenade

Give the anchor one delaying grenade and a fixed escape route. Attackers vary their timing. The anchor learns to use the grenade when it changes the rotation window, not automatically on first sound.

Review grenade ownership with our utility handoff framework.

Stage three: play the retake

Add two rotating teammates and finish every repetition. Track whether the anchor survives into a tradable position and whether the site information gives rotators a useful route. Swap roles after five attempts.

Use the demo review workflow to select one site and one trigger for the next session. The drill succeeds when delay becomes a shared resource, not an individual highlight.
