Diablo Immortal is marking Diablo’s 30th anniversary with the Darkening Decades event from August 12 through September 1. Baal returns through a modified Destruction’s End route and Worldstone Corrupter invasions in the Library of Zoltun Kulle, with milestone rewards including the Ashwold Wraith cosmetic set.

Diablo Immortal: confirmed details

Ten portals appear every five minutes during the local server windows from noon to 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; each closes after one group enters. Avarice’s March runs separately through August 25. The update also adds Legendary Affixes, revises wing materials and increases maximum Wing Score to 10,200.

What changes for players

Repeated portal windows make the Baal activity accessible without leaving it permanently open, but groups still need to coordinate before another party consumes an entrance. Milestone rewards give the anniversary a no-cost progression path, while the returning Revenant Market cosmetics remain a separate paid or currency-driven offer.

Timing and wider context

Challenge Rift Season 20 starts August 24, and an optional early engine update will later award ten Legendary Crests per character before the mandatory September transition. Players should distinguish those later dates from the Darkening Decades start and the August 25 end of Avarice’s March.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 7, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.

For Diablo Immortal, the practical checkpoint is the live client: confirm the installed version, platform notes and regional rollout before relying on a scheduled feature. Store availability, maintenance windows and certification can create timing differences even when the developer announces one date for the wider release.
