Diablo IV 3.1.3 lets party members who join an active Echo of Mephisto encounter use a portal to reach the fight’s third stage. The all-platform August 12 patch also corrects progress for the Season Rank III objective Set Fire to the Beacons.

Diablo IV 3.1.3: confirmed details

Escalation Nightmare Dungeons carrying the Ruptures affix now count toward that objective. War Plans teleporting to Infernal Hordes should no longer fail on pre-Torment difficulty, and resummoning the Corrupted Reaper clears the prior corpse. Druid, Necromancer and Warlock visual bugs around the Reaper and Dark Prison are also fixed.

What changes for players

The Mephisto change reduces the chance that a reconnecting or late party member remains separated from the decisive phase. Seasonal players can pursue the listed Rupture dungeons without losing valid objective credit, while the War Plans repair restores a direct route for characters below Torment.

Timing and wider context

Build 73224 is a corrective patch rather than a new season launch. Blizzard lists it under August 12 for PC, Xbox and PlayStation, and later hotfixes may alter individual encounters without changing the patch number players remember from these notes.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 12, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.

For Diablo IV, the practical checkpoint is the live client: confirm the installed version, platform notes and regional rollout before relying on a scheduled feature. Store availability, maintenance windows and certification can create timing differences even when the developer announces one date for the wider release.
