Apex Legends received a targeted live fix on August 19 for a Bloodhound exploit. Respawn says the interaction allowed Bloodhound players to access their Ultimate unusually quickly through the Legend’s Level 3 upgrades.

Apex Legends: confirmed details

The official update contains one confirmed item: the exploit has been removed. It does not describe a general reduction to Beast of the Hunt duration, ultimate cost or the ordinary value of Bloodhound’s Level 3 upgrade choices.

What changes for players

Closing the shortcut restores the intended timing around Bloodhound’s strongest tracking window. Teams should no longer plan around the accelerated route, but ordinary upgrade selection and legitimate Ultimate charge remain part of the Legend’s match progression.

Timing and wider context

This is a small corrective update, not a replacement for the Ascended Hunt event announcement. Players should use the current client values when comparing the fix with recordings made before August 19.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 19, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.

For Apex Legends, the practical checkpoint is the live client: confirm the installed version, platform notes and regional rollout before relying on a scheduled feature. Store availability, maintenance windows and certification can create timing differences even when the developer announces one date for the wider release.
