Road to the final

Astralis finished the New Legends Stage 3–1, then eliminated Team Liquid in a high-profile quarterfinal and NRG in the semifinal. Astralis vs AVANGAR Berlin Major final: how the series unfolded

Astralis opened with a 16–6 win on its pick, Inferno, repeatedly denying AVANGAR the space needed to build late executes. Dust II was even more direct: Astralis created early advantages, prevented economical recovery and allowed only five rounds before ending the series 16–5.

The decisive detail

Astralis made AVANGAR spend utility to claim limited space and still retained answers for the final approach. That pressure narrowed the attacking options before the decisive fight. On T side, the champions avoided donating isolated openings that could have let AVANGAR stabilise.

Why the result still matters

No CS:GO roster had previously won four Majors, and the Berlin title extended Astralis’ run to three in succession. The final was not close, but its value lies in how clearly it displayed a system built around preparation, utility discipline and repeatable trading.
