T1 edge KT Rolster 3-2 to win Worlds 2025

T1 defeated KT Rolster 3-2 on November 9 to win the 2025 League of Legends World Championship. The result gave T1 a sixth world title and a third consecutive championship after its victories in 2023 and 2024.

The first all-Korean Worlds final since 2017 also carried the history of the telecom rivalry onto the game’s largest stage. KT pushed the series to five games, but T1 again found the closing performance in an elimination match.

The telecom war delivered a full best-of-five

A five-game final rarely reduces cleanly to one draft or one mechanical error. Both teams had opportunities to reshape priority as the series progressed, and every completed game removed another set of safe assumptions. By the decider, adaptation and execution mattered more than a single pre-series prediction.

T1’s tournament identity has long been connected to high-pressure series, but past trophies do not win a current map. The achievement was converting experience into stable decisions when KT had already proved it could take games.
