CS2 retake utility: a 30-minute three-player drill
The drill grades coordination at the first doorway, not a perfect grenade collection.
This drill uses three attackers, two defenders and one bombsite. Give the retake team a smoke, flash and incendiary. The purpose is to make every grenade create a visible next action.
Minutes 0–10: isolate
Defenders choose two positions. Retakers may use only the smoke and must call which defender it removes. Reset if the smoke blocks teammates or leaves no route.
Minutes 10–20: clear and trade
Add the flash. The first player names the cleared angle; the second holds the trade rather than chasing the blinded target. Rotate entry order every two attempts.
Minutes 20–30: full retake
Add the incendiary and play to completion. Grade the first casualty, utility timing and whether both surviving players can touch the bomb. Record one cue the trio will keep for matches.
The drill works because it preserves uncertainty while repeating the coordination that should survive any defender setup.
