K-jihacheol launched on Steam on August 22 with an unusual measure of transit knowledge: type every station in the correct order as quickly as possible. Its 94 lines cover 2,361 stations across 26 cities and 19 countries, from Seoul and Tokyo to New York, London and Sydney.
K-jihacheol: confirmed launch features
Drive mode keeps the route map visible, Memory hides it and Race places the player against an AI conductor with three difficulty levels. A hint can reveal a forgotten stop at a time penalty. Records are stored separately for lines and modes, with combos, flawless runs and quests supporting repeat attempts.
How the central mechanic works
Station names use local writing conventions where supported. Tokyo expects Japanese, Taipei accepts Chinese characters or Pinyin and New York uses English. That makes fast runs a combination of route recall, keyboard familiarity and language input rather than a generic list memorized in one alphabet.
Release and platform context
K-jihacheol is a Windows single-player release with keyboard-only and mouse-only options, adjustable difficulty and save-anytime support. The store page lists metro systems across Korea, Japan, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania; it does not promise real-time timetable data.
