Apex Legends Ascended Hunt is live from August 18 through September 8. Its headline rule lets Wild Cards grow during a match as players collect EVO, adding another progression track to the existing armor race.

Apex Legends Ascended Hunt: confirmed details

Players choose an EVO Enhancing Wild Card before a Wildcard match, then open more ability slots as the squad gains EVO. The published examples cover stronger hip fire, critical-hit effects, shield regeneration, life steal and movement boosts tied to mantling or sliding. The playlist rotates through Kings Canyon, E-District and Broken Moon.

What changes for players

The system asks squads to build toward a late-match identity rather than receive every modifier at the drop. A team can emphasize sustain, close-range pressure or movement, but only if it survives long enough to unlock the required slots. That makes early EVO sources more valuable without removing the basic need to secure weapons, space and a safe rotation.

Timing and wider context

The event also introduces Gibraltar’s Apex Bruddah Prestige skin, a 24-item cosmetic collection and a Marks reward shop. Those rewards do not change competitive statistics. The Wild Card rules belong to the limited event playlist and should not be assumed to apply to standard ranked play.

The feature list and timing above reflect the developer’s announcement published on August 18, 2026. Future hotfixes can adjust balance or availability, so live values should be checked against the current client.

He has a particular interest in RPG economies, tactical combat and performance problems that alter mechanical feel. Every verdict is written for a specific player rather than an imaginary universal audience.
