Bilibili Gaming beat G2 to win First Stand 2026
Bilibili Gaming won the First Stand 2026 final 3–1 over G2 Esports in São Paulo, earning BLG’s first global LoL trophy and an MSI bracket-stage benefit.
Bilibili Gaming won the First Stand 2026 final 3–1 against G2 Esports on March 22 in São Paulo. The title was BLG’s first global League of Legends trophy and returned an international championship to the LPL.
G2 won the opening game, but BLG answered across the next three. The result also delivered the tournament’s stated Mid-Season Invitational bracket-stage advantage to the winning region.
The First Stand 2026 final changed after game one
G2’s opener demonstrated that the matchup was not a foregone conclusion. BLG responded by improving early map control and giving its carries more reliable access to objective fights. Once the series reached repeated dragon and Baron setups, isolated European advantages became harder to preserve.
A four-game final still demanded adaptation from both drafts. BLG’s win came from converting information more quickly: identify the lane or objective G2 had exposed, pressure it together and avoid turning the response into a sequence of disconnected chases.
G2 reached its first global final since 2019
The runner-up result represented a significant international run for G2. Reaching the final required surviving a format designed around early-season uncertainty, when regional teams had fewer cross-region matches to establish reliable reads.
BLG carried the title into MSI and later reached that event’s grand final, where Hanwha Life ended the run. Results from March should therefore be read as a snapshot of the First Stand patch and tournament, not a permanent global ranking.
